		<description>An interesting reader comment came in about rent in his area staying flat. Rents in his part of the country are in the $600-$800 range.
Home prices in more rural areas of the US have not been hurt as much as those on the coasts and in large cities, and rents go along with home prices to some degree.
Interesting little tidbit. So, if you live in a more rural part of the country, you could probably expect to see a proportionately smaller decrease in rents (or maybe none at all). The housing market in your area is a good guide.</description>
